Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of abusive supervision on employee attitudes and behavior among resort companies in Korea. The data was obtained by questionnaire from a sample of 435 organizational members. The major findings of the study were summarized as follows; abusive supervision is positively related to work-family conflict, emotional exhaustion and turnover intention. Furthermore employee work-family conflict serves as the partial mediator between abusive supervision and such outcomes as emotional exhaustion and turnover intention. Implications of the findings, limitations of the study and directions indicate a need for future research.
