위조지문 식별 방법 교육의 효과에 관한 연구

지문 증거의 중요성을 고려할 때, 범죄자에 의해서 다른 사람의 지문이 위조되어 현장에 의도적으로 남겨지게 되면 진범을 잡지 못하게 될 뿐 아니라 무고한 사람이 범인으로 몰리게 된다. 지문을 위조하는 방법은 쉽게 찾아볼 수있으며 이미 우리나라와 외국에서 다수의 지문 위조 사례가 보고 되었다. 본 연구에서는 위조 지문을 식별하는 방법에 대한 교육과 훈련이 위조 지문 식별 능력 향상에 얼마나 긍정적인 효과를 갖는지 설문을 통하여 알아보았다. 과학수사요원을 대상으로 지문의 위조 여부를 인식하는지에 대한 첫 번째 설문에서는 모든 응답자가 위조 지문을 인식하지 못했다. 식별 가이드를 교육받지 않은 상태에서 위조 지문 판별률 확인을 위해 실시한 두 번째 설문에서는 평균 60.5점의 정답률을 보였으며 식별 가이드를 교육한 후에 실시한 세 번째 설문에서는 평균 84.5점의 정답률을 보였다.
Abstract
If someone forge another person’s fingerprint and intentionally left the print at the crime scene, it will miss the true criminal and accuse an innocent citizen, because of the importance of fingerprint evidence. It is easy to find the ways to produce forged fingerprint, therefore a number of fingerprint forgery have been reported around the world, even in Korea. In this study, we research how education and training to identifying forged fingerprint will be effective. In the first survey whether Korea Crime Scene Investigator have awareness of forged fingerprint, all of those questioned don’t detect. Second survey, conducted to verify the false fingerprint identification rate without training the identification guide, showed an average of 60.5 points. The third survey after training with the guide, showed an average of 84.5 points.
