Abstract
Double gloving is recommended to prevent transfer of the wearer's DNA to evidence, but its effectiveness has not yet been proven. In this study, we quantitatively confirmed how much double gloving can reduce the wearer's DNA that is transferred to the glove skin. UV fluorescence lotion was used to determine the degree of contact between the wearer's skin and the glove skin, and the degree of contamination of the wearer's DNA with the glove was determined through quantitative analysis of DNA and STR analysis. As a result, double gloving significantly reduced the amount of DNA contaminated with gloves compared to single gloving and at the same time reduced the amount consistent with the wearer's STR marker.
