사회적 거리와 자기가치감 수반성이 스토킹 피해자에 대한 도움행동 의도에 미치는 영향

본 연구에서는 스토킹 피해자 및 가해자와의 사회적 거리에 따라 피해자에 대한 도움행동 의도에 차이가 있는지 알아보고, 자기가치감 수반성 중 도덕성이 도움행동 의도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 우선 스토킹 피해자와의 사회적 거리가 가까울수록 피해자를 도울 가능성이 더 높았다. 또한 스토킹 가해자와의 사회적 거리가 멀수록, 피해자와의 사회적 거리가 가까울수록 경찰에 신고할 가능성 및 경찰의 진술서 작성 요청에 응할 가능성이 더 높았다. 더불어, 남성보다 여성이 경찰의 진술서 작성 요청에 응할 가능성이 더 높았다. 자기가치감 수반성-도덕성이 높을수록 스토킹 사건을 더 심각하게 지각하고, 사건을 더 심각하게 지각할수록 피해자를 돕거나 경찰에 신고하며 경찰의 진술서 작성 요청에 응할 가능성이 더 높았다. 끝으로 스토킹 피해자 지원 등 본 연구의 실용적 함의에 대해 논의하였다.
Abstract
We examined differences in the helping behavior toward the victims of stalking by social distance from offender and victim respectively, and the effect of virtue among contingencies self-worth on helping behavior. As a result, the smaller the social distance to the victim, the bigger the probability of helping the victim of stalking. The greater the social distance to the offender and the smaller the social distance to the victim, the bigger the probability of police reporting and making a police statement. Women compared to men were more likely to make a police statement. The higher the contingencies of self-worth, especially virtue, the higher the evaluation of seriousness of stalking, and the more likely to help stalking victim, report to the police, and make a police statement. We discussed the practical implications of the study on the stalking victim support.
