군사학 학문체계 및 연구방법에 관한 연구

Abstract

This study is focused on the analytic methodology and academic architecture of military science and art. It specifies a variety of methodological approaches and theoretical argum -ents as inter-disciplinary. This manuscript attempts to illustrate the current status of military science and art and a possibility of having military theories as normal science. It contends that the military study has a consilient knowledge system in the aspect of theoretical and pr -actical integration. It focuses on making some common grounds to have shared opinions on the methodol -ogy and architecture of military science and art. This paper suggests that military scie -nce and art from its birth has consilient characteristics if it means a study of objective and scientific knowledge. Despite of the fact that military studies have inter-disciplinary in their educational and academic system, they focus on the causes and effects of war/ warfare, national security matters, and military operations as unique domains.
