Abstract

This paper analyzes the current status and activities of female independence activists born by Chungbuk from the perspective of veterans policy and examines the tasks to inherit their spirit. The characteristics of the Korean independence movement are future-oriented values pursued by mankind, regional widespreadity, and participation of men and women. Japanese colonial era The spirit of love for the country of independence activists who sacrificed their lives for the independence of their homeland reminds us of the importance of freedom and peace today. Although there were no separate men and women for the independence of the nation, it is true that the discovery, decoration, and research on female independence activists who sacrificed for the country were insufficient In addition, the independence movement in Chungbuk, including Cheongju, is weak compared to other regions, so it is not drawing much attention. There are only a handful of people who have been studied by Cheongju independence activists or individuals, and most of them were conducted not at the level of local history research, but at the level of central history research. Therefore, research on the independence movement and veterans' promotion projects seem to be somewhat insufficient. Therefore, for the development of history, various methods should be sought to modernly inherit the spirit of the independence movement, which is the central value of 100 years of modern and contemporary history. The exhibition room for women's independence activists in North Chungcheong Province is significant in that sense. The value of the independence movement should be inherited as a national asset as our noble spiritual heritage, and should be used as an indicator of Chungbuk's historical and cultural identity.
