지역고용경쟁력 분석에 관한 연구: 15개 광역시·도 및 152개 시·군을 중심으로

Abstract

The purpose of this study is through establishing and performing the regional employment competitiveness index, to weight and calculate the local employment competitiveness in order to analyze the local employment competitiveness. The subjects of this study included 15 metropolitan cities & provinces which were targeted in the period of 2000 - 2015 and 152 cities & counties cities & counties which were targeted in the period of 2008 - 2015. By using the factor analysis as research methodology, there are two main results as below. Firstly, it is local competitiveness of metropolitan city & province. Employment competitiveness of Seoul and Gyeonggi-do where population, industry, and economy in South Korea are concentrated turned out excellent. The rise of employment competitiveness in Chungcheong-do is remarkable. Secondly, employment competitiveness of big cities was clearly influenced by population inflow due to the construction of new cities and the metropolitanization of employment in an analysis of local employment competitiveness of city & county. In the case of small and medium cities, Gumi where the national industrial complex is located, and Asan where many population inflows are active along with Cheonan in Chungcheongnam-do showed high employment competitiveness. In the year of 2015, Naju, Eumseong, Jincheon, and Wanju were ranked as the first, second, third, and fourth, respectively regarding small cities. In the case of extremely small cities, Seongju and Goryeong, namely urban and rural complex cities where the industrial complex is located rather than regions heavily relying on agriculture showed high local employment competitiveness. It is hoped that the government and local autonomous authorities should examine the current status of local employment and characteristics on a regular basis and make consistent efforts to draw the policy priority.
