대구경북지역 대학의 중도탈락에 영향을 미치는 대학기관 요인 분석

본 연구는 대구경북지역 대학의 중도탈락에 영향을 미치는 대학기관의 요인을 분석하였다. 대학기관 요인은 대학재정 및 교육여건, 그리고 취업률로 선정하였으며 종속변인은 중도탈락률로 선정하였다. 분석 대상은 2016년∼2018년 자료가 모두 공개되어 있는 88개교이며, 연구방법은 잠재성장모형을 활용하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수도권 대학과 대구경북지역 대학은 공통적으로 학생 1인당 교육비 초기값이 중도탈락 초기값에 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 수도권 대학은 학생 1인당 재정지원사업 수혜 금액 초기값이 중도탈락 초기값에 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 수도권 대학과 대구경북지역 대학은 취업률 초기값이 중도탈락 초기값에 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 추가적으로 대구경북지역 대학은 취업률 변화율이 중도탈락 변화율에도 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 대구경북지역 대학의 중도탈락에 영향을 미치는 대학기관 요인에 대해서 논의하였다.
Abstract
This study analyzed the institutional characteristics influencing the dropout rate of universities in Daegu Gyeongbuk region. The institutional characteristics were selected as university finance and educational conditions, and employment rate, and the dependent variables were selected as dropout rates. The subject of analysis was 88 universities whose data are all disclosed between 2016 and 2018, and the research method utilized a latent growth model. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, universities in the metropolitan area and universities in Daegu-Gyeongbuk region were analyzed to have a negative effect on the initial value of dropout in the initial value of education cost per student. Second, the metropolitan area universities were analyzed that the initial value of financial support per student had a negative effect on the initial value of dropout. Third, the metropolitan area universities and Daegu-Gyeongbuk region colleges showed that the initial value of employment rate had a negative effect on the initial value of dropout rate. In addition, in Daegu Gyeongbuk University, the rate of change in employment rate has been analyzed to have a negative effect on the rate of dropout. Based on the results of this analysis, the institutional characteristics affecting the dropout rate of universities in Daegu and Gyeongbuk were individually discussed.
