Abstract
In French society today, the violence occupies an important place in collective mobilization. The violence, not as an objective but as a flexible method, demonstrates objectives of mobilization in symbolic meaning. This article tires to show that collective mobilizations in France today combine peaceful demonstration and political violence, in the form of popular festival since the Great Revolution. The Unemployed People’s movement in the years 2000 has exercised a series of symbolic violence as occupation or destruction, in criticizing the crisis of unemployment and the poverty of the Unemployed People. Their linguistic and material violence develops a possibility in negotiation and enforces the movement’s identity and dynamics, in cutting off everyday order and in demonstrating tension and resistance.
