태권도에 필요한 도덕적 가치

Abstract

There is a lack of moral elements in the area of taekwondo. Although taekwondo trainees receive moral education in diverse ways including character education, there is room for improvement in that regard, and various efforts are being made to find solutions. Taekwondo training begins with basic motions, and then the level of training gradually becomes higher. As it contributes to the improvement of growing children's physical fitness, inner world and attention, it can be of great help to trainees who are in the period of growth. Indeed, there are definitely positives in taekwondo. In fact, however, victory is considered quite important in taekwondo matches, and the educational and moral aspects of taekwondo is actually overlooked due to fierce competition. The results of taekwondo match takes precedence over considerations for the opponent, and trainees consider it more important to go onto school of higher grade by winning or to win medals in championships. Under the circumstances, character building and the establishment of moral values by putting emphasis on the mental values of taekwondo is suggested as an alternative.
