근거이론을 통한 태권도 격파대회 경쟁력 강화방안 도출

초록

목적 이 연구의 목적은 태권도 격파대회와 관련한 문제점과 현상, 경쟁력 강화방안을 근거이론을 적용하여 도출하는데 있다. 방법 태권도전공 교수 및 격파대회 관련자 16명을 선정하여 자료를 수집하였다. 자료수집은 심층면담으로 이뤄졌고, 자료분석은 Strauss & Corbin(1998)에 의해 제시된 개방코딩, 축코딩, 선택코딩에 따라 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, 개방코딩 단계에서는 지속적인 질문과 비교분석을 통해 59개의 개념과 19개의 하위범주 그리고 이를 통합한 6개의 범주를 도출하였다. 둘째, 축코딩 단계에서는 중심현상을 중심으로 인과적, 맥락적, 중재적 조건과 작용/상호작용 전략 그리고 결과를 제시하였다. 셋째, 선택코딩 단계에서는 ‘격파 경기의 다양화, 격파용품의 규정화, 입상제도의 변화, 심판의 전문성 강화를 통한 격파대회의 경쟁력 강화’를 핵심범주로 도출하고 이야기 윤곽을 제시하였다. 결론 격파대회의 경쟁력 강화를 위하여 대회의 문제점인 현 실태를 도출하고, 문제점에 대한 다양한 요인들과 개선을 위한 방안을 제시함으로 격파대회 활성화에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

Abstract

Purpose The purpose of this study was to identify the problems and phenomena related to Taekwondo breaking competitions and ways to enhance competitiveness by applying grounded theory. Method Sixteen professors of taekwondo majors and participants of breaking competitions were selected to collect data. The data were collected through in-depth interviews, and the data were analyzed according to open coding, axial coding, and selective coding proposed by Strauss & Corbin (1998). Results First, in the open coding phase, 51 concepts, 19 subcategories, and 6 integrated categories were derived through continuous questioning and comparative analysis. Second, the axial coding stage presented causal, contextual, and mediating conditions, action/interaction strategies, and outcomes centered on the central phenomenon. Third, in the selective coding stage, we identified the core categories of "enhancing the competitiveness of breaking competitions by diversifying the breaking game, regulating breaking equipment, changing the prize system, and strengthening the professionalism of referees" and presented the narrative outline. Conclusion This study will contribute to the revitalization of breaking competitions by identifying the current status of breaking competitions and suggesting various factors for the problems and ways to improve them in order to strengthen the competitiveness of breaking competitions.
