본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지를 대상으로 아버지의 양육효능감과 양육참여도가 아버지의 인구학적 변인에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는지 살펴보고, 양육효능감과 양육참여도와의 관계를 규명하고자 했다. 이를 위해 유치원에 다니는 만 3세-5세 자녀를 둔 아버지 380명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 양육효능감이 아버지의 인구학적 변인에 따라서 유의미한 차이가 있는가를 살펴본 결과, 아버지 교육수준이 높을수록, 아버지의 직업이 사무직인 경우, 평균 근무시간이 낮을수록, 배우자가 직업을 가진 경우 아버지의 양육효능감이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 양육참여도가 아버지의 인구학적 변인에 따라서 유의미한 차이가 있는가를 살펴본 결과 아버지의 연령이 35세에서 40세이고, 아버지의 직업이 전문직인 경우, 아버지의 주당 평균 근무시간이 낮을수록, 배우자가 직업을 가진 경우 아버지의 양육참여행동이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 아버지의 양육효능감과 양육참여도는 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between early childhood father’s parenting efficacy and parenting involvement. The subjects were 380 fathers with 3 to 5 year-old children from kindergartens and day-care centers located in Busan. Data were analysed by descriptive statistics, T- test, ANOVA, and correlation. Findings were as follows. First, there were significant differences of father’s parenting efficacy according to their educational backgrounds, occupation, working hours and wife’s occupation. Second, there were significant differences of fathers parenting involvement according to their age, occupation, working hours and wife’s occupation. Third, father’s parenting efficacy was significantly correlated with fathers’ parenting involvement.
