본 연구에서는 유아의 대인문제해결력과 자아탄력성 향상을 위하여 그림책을 활용한 통합적 활동을 계획하고 7주에 걸쳐 적용한 뒤 이러한 활동이 만 5세 유아에게 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보았다. 두 학급의 만 5세 유아 38명을 실험집단과 비교집단으로 나누어, 실험집단은 그림책을 활용한 통합적 활동을 실시하였고, 비교집단은 그림책 듣기 활동을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 그림책을 활용한 통합적 활동을 실시한 실험집단이 비교집단보다 대인문제해결력, 특히대안적 해결 사고와 수단 목적 사고에 있어서 긍정적인 변화를 보였다. 또한 그림책을 활용한 통합적 활동은 자아탄력성의 모든 영역, 즉 애착, 주도성, 자기통제에 있어서도 긍정적인 변화를 가져왔다. 그림책을 활용한 통합적 활동을 통하여 유아의 대인문제해결력과 자아탄력성 향상을 위한 노력을 기울인다면 유아의 대안적 해결 사고와 수단 목적 사고 등의 대인문제 해결력과 더불어 애착, 주도성, 자기통제 등의 자아탄력성 증진에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of integrated activities using picture books on young children’s interpersonal problem-solving abilities and ego-resilience. In this study, 36 young children aged 5 in two classes were selected from two kindergartens in Seoul (18 children for the experimental group and 18 children for the control group). For the experimental group, integrated activities using picture books were carried out over 7 weeks while listening picture books activities were carried out for the control group. ANCOVAs were used to analyze the effects of the integrated activities using picture books on the young children’s interpersonal problem-solving abilities and ego-resilience. The summary of the results of this study is as follows: it was found that (1) the experimental group with the integrated activities using picture books showed more improvement of their interpersonal problem-solving abilities and ego-resilience than the control group did; (2) all sub-factors of ego-resilience, attachment, initiative and self-control showed statistically significant results, which can be interpreted that the integrated activities using picture books positively improved the young children’s ego-resilience as well as interpersonal problem-solving abilities.
