Exercising Life, to have come into the spotlight in modern Korean literature Kim Seungok made his debut with. It was important to predict his future of literary carrier. The characteristics of Exercising Life was to make various characters having themselves' original inner worlds. On the other hand this fiction had and expressed the meaningful unity of a content and a form. For example, frame story as its narrative structure ensured the narrator's a point of view with objectivity. These techniques made repeat the narrator reserve that some assertion was not yet definitely settled on a event or a matter and constantly delayed a conclusive signifier. This fictional style of pattern repeated in his other fictions that caused from the compulsive orientation make delay some decision. Also the narrative structure made by Kim's a special intent. He would like to represent a contemporary in Korea 1960s. As the historical event 4․19 gave them the right to choose their own something with a experience confusion on.
