This paper studies on the tragic of Kim, Seung-Ok's Novel, in relation to a viewpoint rhetoric. The aspects and meaning of the tragic in his novels are generated not only the unique style of writing but also the tragical traits in the contents. Therefore, this paper is concerned about the style as well as the substance in his novels. First, the tragic comes within the purview of the characteristic of the 1960'th. Tragical traits is implied in the mobility of the modernity. But its concrete feature is represented to the image of the crack of subject. Kim, Seung-Ok's character assumes the evil. The view of importance is represented through the phenomenon of 'split' and the 'ambivalence'. But it can be explained by narration, also. It is expressed using a particular type of phraseology, for example, a contradiction and a juxtapose and so on.
