Methodological Similarity between Traditional Chinese Exegesis and Western Biblical Exegesis

초록

중국은 오랜 주석학 전통을 가지고 있으며, 중국인들은 체계적인 본문 해석 방법론을 발전시켜왔다. 이러한 방법론을 사용하여 본문을 해석하는 학문을 훈고학이라 부르는데, 그 목표는 저자가 의도한 본문의 의미를 파악하는 것이다. 동양의 훈고학과 서양의 성경 주석학은 사용하는 전문 용어는 다르지만, 그 방법론 전통은 서로 유사하다. 동서양의 학문적 주석학은 서로 다른 언어적, 문화적 환경 속에서, 시간의 장벽을 극복하고 고대의 본문을 이해하는 방법을 개발해왔는데, 그들이 개발한 방법들은 서로 유사하다. 그러므로 그 중 한 가지 주석학 전통 속에서 훈련된 사람은 다른 전통을 쉽게 이해할 수 있다. 성경 주석학과 훈고학의 유사성의 발견은 동양에 성경 주석학을 소개하는데 도움을 주고, 역으로 서양에 훈고학을 소개하는 데 도움을 줄 것이다. 또한 이러한 유사성은 훈고학을 사용하는 동양적 성경 읽기가 서양의 전통적 성경 읽기와 본질적으로 동일할 수밖에 없음을 알려준다.
