중국의 해외직접투자 결정요인 분석: 정치 및 경제적 제도 수준을 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 해외직접투자 결정요인을 파악하기 위하여 2001년에서 2016년까지 16년 동안의 아세안(ASEAN) 10개 회원국을 대상으로 중국의 해외직접투자 결정요인을 분석하였다. 160개 국가-년도 관측치를 이용하여 패널분석을 시행하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 경제적 제도화 수준이 높을수록 해외직접투자에 양(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 투자국의 경제적 제도의 발전이 투자유치를 향상시킬 것으로 제시할 수 있다. 둘째, 정치적 제도화 수준의 조절효과를 분석한 결과, 정치적 제도화 수준이 높고 경제적 제도화 수준이 높을수록 해외직접투자 유입이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 정치적 제도화 수준은 경제적 제도화 수준에 교호작용을 하여 해외직접투자의 유치를 보다 강화할 수 있는 것으로 제시할 수 있다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 현지국의 정치·경제적 제도화 수준의 고려가 해외직접투자의 매력도를 높일 수 있을 것으로 제안할 수 있다.

Abstract

This study analyzed the decision of foreign direct invest in China toward the ASEAN 10 member countries over the period from 2001 to 2016. As Results, high quality of economic status has a positively significant effect on FDI. In order to attract investment from the standpoint of the local government, the development of the economic system should complement and develop legal systems Second, it reveals role of political level as moderator has a positive effect on FDI. The development of detailed political systems such as political freedom, political rights, and civil liberties in local countries is a determinant of FDI, and it is likely that they will have a indirect influence in the situation where countries are competing fiercely to attract investment.
