Abstract

At present, from a feministtic point of view, the reproduction of a feminine post-body by science and technology is generating critical issues in terms of reproducing gender and sexuality. This is because the feminine post-body, reproduced through existing movies or science fiction novels, does not acquire independence and appears to be otherized and objectified like the current human body. However, how the 2017 Korean drama <Borg mom> reproduces the feminine post-body is independent, unlike the existing western pop culture contents. The cyborg <Borg mom>, who is the protagonist of <Borg maom>, realizes ethics transcending input information through autonomous judgment while outputting and reproducing a database of human women. By doing so, Bogmom is changed into an independent post-body from an objective post-body that reproduces human femininity, while at the same time it is bonded in a mutually independent love relationship with a human male. as such, the continouous romance between human and non-human beings established between the male and female protagonists of <Borg mom> is a classic narrative based on a romance novel that existed historically in the pre-modern period of Korean. In terms of the female body, the non-humans of the fictional romance novel are nobles, dreamers, and nuns, which are feminine pre-body before the advent of humans; in contrst, non-humans in the era of post-modern humanism are feminine post-body that have extended the human body that have extended the human body with science and technology after the advent of humankind. However, the only difference is that the feminine pre-body of the romance novel and the feminine post-body of <Borg mom> emerged with amodern human body in between, and they are similar in that they are both non-humans in the human-nature network which diacronically continued from pre-modern to post-modern eras. However, how the feminine pre-body of fictional romance novels and the feminine post-body of <Borg mom> continue is different from humans. While it is temporary that the feminine pre-body of the fictional romance novel forms a monistic continuity with the human male, the monistic continuity that is formed by the feminine post-body of <Borg mom> with the human male is continuous. Like this, the differnces in how the feminine pre-body of fictional romance novels and the feminine post-body of <Bog mom> connect with humans is attributed to the difference in perception of nonhuman-human continuity. In the era of fictional romance pre-body, the metaphysical dualism that sees human-nature as a continuum and the metaphysical dualism that sees human-nature as a segmented body coexist; this was a transitional period right before non-humans were divided into dichotomous objects by modern anthropocentic purifiction. The former theory of monism is pre-modern ecology as a pre-humanism linked to post-humanism, and the latter theory of dualism is the predecessor of anti-ecologism linked to modernistist humanism. Under the awareness of the this problem, this study aims to examine the indepent representation of the feminine post-body in the remediation of romance novel <Borg mom> and the cognitive homology with the pre-modern ecological female pre-body. By doing so, this study will clarity the cognitive basis of the discriminatory independence of <Borg mom> with respect to the reproduction method of the feminine post-body in contemporary Korean and western novels and film contents. In order to realize the research goal of identifying the independent representaion of a feminine post-body in the remediation of the romance novel <Borg mom> as well as the cognitive homology with the pre-modern ecological female pre-body, this study is organized into four sections. Firstly, it is the confirmation of the narrative input point of the feminine post-body in the remediation of the romance novel <Borg mom>. Second is an analysis of the narrative representation of the feminine post-body in the remediation of the romance novel <Borg mom>. Third is an examination of the narrative relationship between the feminine post-body realized in <Borg mom> and feminine pre-body in the romance novel, the classic narrative prototype of <Borg mom>. Fourthly, this study clarifies the ecological homology existing between the feminine post-body reproduced in <Borg mom> and feminine pre-body in the romance novel, the classic narrative of <Borg mom> and feminine pre-body in the romance novel, the classic narrative of <Borg mom>.
