Abstract

The history of Korean cinema has been over 100 years, and the establishment of a film teaching curriculum in undergraduate courses has been over 20 years. In the meantime, film teacher training has been trying to provide quality education. However, in the field of film education, film teachers have experienced criticism of identity confusion and lack of expertise. In this study, we intend to look into the current status of the film teacher training system and seek ways to improve the reality of film teachers. First of all, by analyzing the process of acquiring the secondary school teacher's license for the second-class theater & film teacher and the status of training institutions, preliminary film teachers are looking at what problems they faced and how to solve them, from the viewpoint of film education, and attempt to present future possibilities. The problems presented in this study include the lack of cross-teaching in theatrical film education, the lack of systemicity in the subject education field, the difficulty of selecting a partner school for educational practice, a loophole in the opening of the theatrical film teaching process in similar departments, and the recruitment gap for new teachers. Was able to derive. To this end, as an improvement plan, it is mandatory to cross-class, compose professional manpower for research in the field of subject education, actively collaborate between training schools and universities, reorganize the theater film teaching process in similar departments, and adjust the ratio of recruitment of new teachers due to a decrease in the school age population. This paper examines the main discussions that are the issue of education in the film teacher training course. If the independent value of film education and the professionalism of education are confirmed, it will contribute to the development of film education in Korea and actively demonstrate the social participation and cultural behavior of film teacher training institutions. Based on these results, it is expected that discussions seeking to cultivate a rational film teacher training system will be more active.
