Abstract

It analyzes the emotional patterns of poets in the “Liberation Memorial Poetry Collection”. In the case of excessive emotion, previous studies did not evaluate it as a study or dismiss it as an analysis target, but that necessary to pay attention again in that various eyes can be found even in excess of emotions. In addition to the joy of liberation, emotional aspects such as sadness, anxiety, emptiness, and mourning appeared through joy, which can be seen as an emotional variation of joy. As it is a collection of liberation commemorative poems, not only emotions of joy and joy but also anxiety about a new beginning are found in most poems. In the first year, there are poems that first list the unfamiliarity of liberation, the dark memories of suffering under Japanese colonial rule, and the narrative of sadness. Most of these poems with clear emotions maximize feelings of joy by comparing and contrasting the moments of Japanese colonial era and post-liberation, or by explicitly expressing their antipathy toward Japan. This characteristic can be seen as a stepping stone for writers to self-confession or self-reflection in their creation after the Liberation Memorial Poetry Collection. In addition to joy, incomplete liberation and impossible monumental emotions coexist, and complex emotions such as sadness, guilty, and self-reflection accumulated in the past time appear in poetry across time. Although the Liberation Memorial Poetry Collection has been undervalued in that it is an emotional excess through this study, it can be newly understood if you pay attention to the emotional change factors and the poet's purpose and intention in the poem.
