본 연구는 목회자의 성적 부정행위에 희생된 성인 여성의 치유를 위한 방향을 지금까지 연구되어진 문헌을 중심으로 목회신학적이고 목회상담학적인 관점에서 살펴보고자 한다. 목회자의 성적 부정행위로 인해 고통 받는 여성들의 상처와 심리는 그러한 사건이 일어나는 문화적, 사회적, 그리고 종교적 상황에 많은 영향을 받는다. 따라서 사회적, 문화적 역할로서의 성에 대한 인식과 사회적, 종교적 위치와 문화를 고려해서 목회자의 성적 부정행위로 인한 여성들의 상처와 심리를 접근해 가야 할 것이다. 이러한 상황을 고려하여 본 연구에서는 누구나 목회자의 성적부정행위의 희생자가 될 수 있는 요인들을 한국의 사회문화적인 배경과 교회문화, 그리고 발달과정의 관점에서 살펴보고, 목회자의 성적 부정행위로 인해 희생된 여성이 겪게 되는 트라우마를 교회와 신앙이라는 특수한 상황과 관련하여 설명해 보고자 한다. 트라우마를 겪으면서도 희생된 여성들이 자신에게 일어난 사건을 세상에 드러내지 못하는 이유가 무엇이고 이러한 모든 상황을 극복할 수 있는 방법은 없는지 본 연구 마지막에서 목회신학적 관점에서 희생된 여성의 치유를 통해 생존자로서 살아 갈 수 있도록 근본적인 방향을 제시해 보고자 한다.
Abstract
This research is about women whose trust has been betrayed by professionals in the helping fields, particularly by clergymen. It is not uncommon for an abused woman to describe the grooming behavior carried out by her pastor as he broke down her defenses, minimized her questions and concerns, and eventually crossed her sexual boundaries. The pastor always has an expectation of secrecy. Keeping the secret protects the offending pastor and isolates the congregant, which makes it difficult for her to sort out what is going on and to ask for help. But these women struggle with self-blame and a sense of responsibility for what happened. The goal of this study is to find healing for women who have been abused and wounded by clergy sexual misconduct. This article is presented in three parts. In part one, we discuss the aspect of the environment and how the primary victim becomes involved. Part two describes three symptoms of trauma - extreme helplessness, disconnection and religious confusion in women abused by their clergy. Finally, we find theological perspectives for healing the abused women – right-remembering trauma and telling the truth, empowering self-confidence, seeking justice, restoring spirituality - to move from an identity of 'victim' to an empowered 'survivor'.
