초록

이 글은 중국공산당의 지도자들이 마르크스주의를 과학에서 신화로 만들어가는 과정을 그들의 사상변화를 통해 추적한다. 특히 마르크스주의의 역사유물론을 과학으로 여겼던 초기 사회주의자들의 사상적인 변화는 물론 사회주의국가가 설립된 이후 중국을 통치했던 마오쩌둥, 덩샤오핑, 그리고 시진핑에 이르기까지 최고지도자들이 가졌던 인식변화를 살펴본다. 그리고 이런 인식변화와 함께 중국공산당의 일당독재체제가 지속 강화되는 과정을 분석한다. 이런 작업을 바탕으로 결론에서는 경제성장에 따른 국가발전에도 불구하고 신화가 된 마르크스주의는 중국공산당의 일당독재체제를 지속 강화하는데 활용되고 있다고 주장한다.

Abstract

This paper explores the thinking of the Chinese Communist Party leaders turning Marxism from science to myth. In particular, it examines the ideological changes of early socialists who regarded Marxist historical materialism as a science, as well as the changes of perception of the top leaders, from Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, and Xi Jinping, who ruled China after the establishment of the socialist state. It also analyzes the process of continuing strengthening of the CCP's one-party dictatorship system. Based on this analysis, the conclusion argues that Marxism, which has become a myth despite national development due to economic growth, is being used to continuously strengthen the CCP's one-party dictatorship.
