대만의 기업생태계 변화에 대한 연구

초록

본 논문은 대만의 기업생태계가 기존에 알려진 것과 어떻게 다르게 변하였는지를 규명하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 특히, 대만과 대조적인 기업생태계를 가진 것으로 알려진 한국의 기업생태계를 비교하였다. 한국과 대만은 1970년대 이래 고도성장을 지속하면서 서로 다른 기업생태계를 만들어왔는데, 대표적인 것이 대만의 중소기업 중심 분산적 경제구조와 한국의 대기업 위주 경제성장 구조이다. 그러나, 본 논문의 연구결과에 따르면 1990년대 이래 진행된 글로벌화, 중국경제의 부상, 양국경제의 성장률 하락 등으로 양국의 전통적인 기업생태계의 차이는 확연히 줄어들고 있다. 대만은 더 이상 중소기업 위주의 경제라고 할 수 없으며 한국도 과거와 같은 소수 대기업 위주 경제라고 하기 어려운 것이다. 대만경제는 중국과의 경제관계가 심화되는 가운데서도 어떻게 대만 경제의 활력을 유지하고 국민 생활수준을 제고할지를 고민하고 있으며, 한국경제는 어떻게 소수 글로벌대기업이 기업생태계의 지배자가 아닌 추춧돌 역할을 하게 할 것인가의 과제에 직면해 있다.

Abstract

This paper is a comparative study of business ecosystem between Korea and Taiwan. The two countries have shown a different from of business ecosystem through different economic development model such as SMEs-based economic decentralization(Taiwan) and conglomerates-oriented economic growth(Korea). However, the difference between these two traditional business ecosystem have been significantly reduced since the 1990s according to this study. This is because of economic globalization, bilateral economic slowdown, China's economic growth etc the five kinds of change factors. Taiwan is no longer the SMEs-based economicand Korea is no longer the conglomerates-oriented economy. Taiwan's issue is whether to maintain the vitality of Taiwan's economy, among deepening economic relations with China. Korea's economy facing a challenge how some huge KGCs(Korean Global Corporations) could play role as a keystone of the business ecosystem, instead of dominators.
