현대 사회의 경제적 부와 가치의 분배는 사회 구성원과 집단을 경제적 부의 축적과 사회적 지위의 획득 여부에 따라 계층화시킨다. 이러한 계층 분화로 형성되는 사회계층의 구조는 사회적 불평등 현상을 보여주게 되며 계층의 상위에 존재하는 집단이나 개인은 더 많은 제도적 특권과 혜택을 누리게 되고 하층으로 갈수록 이러한 특권과 혜택에서 멀어져 빈곤에 처하는 경우가 빈번하게 일어난다. 개혁개방을 통한 중국의 현대화는 초안정(超安定) 사회로 불리던 중국의 사회구조를 새롭게 변화시켰다. 본 연구는 기존 연구를 토대로 중국 사회계층 구조의 특징적 변화를 간략하게 보여주고 2000년대 들어 이러한 변화의 특징들을 규명하려고 한다. 이를 위해 첫째, 그동안 사회계층 구조의 특징이 어떻게 변화되어왔는지를 설명하고자 한다. 둘째, 중국 사회계층의 최근 특징 중 하나로 사회계층 구조의 도농격차가 도시 크기에 따른 격차로 전환되고 있다는 것을 보여줄 것이다. 셋째, 중국 사회계층 구조의 최근 가장 중요한 특징인 사회계층 구조의 고착화와 부의 세습에 대해 논의할 것이다. 전환기의 중국 사회를 연구하는데 중국의 사회계층에 대한 분석은 중국 사회가 가지고 있는 성격과 본질을 보여준다는 점에서 중요한 연구대상이다. 그리고 사회계층 구조의 현대화와 이동의 자유로움을 보장하기 위한 대안을 마련하기 위해서도 최근 드러나는 사회계층 구조의 특징들을 규명할 필요가 있다.
Abstract
The distribution of economic wealth and value of modern society layer social members and groups. The structure of this social class shows social inequality. Groups or individuals at the top of the hierarchy enjoy more institutional privileges and benefits, and the lower hierarchies often get away from these privileges and benefits and are often poverty-stricken. China 's modernization through reform and opening has changed the social structure of China, which is called super - stable society. This study briefly shows the characteristic changes of the Chinese social hierarchy on the basis of previous researches and intends to identify the characteristics of these changes in the 2000s. First, I will explain how the characteristics of the social hierarchy have changed in the meantime. Second, one of the recent characteristics of the Chinese social class is that the urban disparity of the social hierarchy is shifting to the disparity according to the city size. Third, I will discuss the most important characteristic of the social hierarchy in China, namely the securing of the social hierarchy and the hereditary succession. The analysis of the social class of China in studying the Chinese society in the transition period is an important study in that it shows the nature of Chinese society. It is also necessary to identify the characteristics of the social hierarchy in order to provide an alternative to guarantee the modernization of the social hierarchy and the freedom of social flow.
