디지털 기술 수용성과 디지털 시민성이 정보 리터러시에 미치는 영향 연구: 사회적 자본의 조절효과를 중심으로

초록

인터넷을 통한 정보 접근의 증가는 정보의 양과 다양성을 증가시켰지만, 동시에 정보의 신뢰성 문제를 야기하였다. 이와 같이 정보가 더욱 중요해지고 있는 환경변화 속에 정보를 신뢰할 수 있는지를 판단하고 적절히 활용하는 능력인 정보 리터러시의 중요성은 더욱 커지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 디지털 기술 수용성과 디지털 시민성이 정보 리터러시에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 이들의 관계에서 사회적 자본의 조절효과를 분석함으로써 관련 정책적 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구의 분석결과, 디지털 기술 수용성과 디지털 시민성이 정보 리터러시에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 또한 사회적 자본 요소 중 하나인 사회적 신뢰나 사회적 네트워크 역시 정보 리터러시에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 그리고 일부 독립변수와 사회적자본의 상호작용항도 정보 리터러시에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 발견하였다. 이러한 내용들을 토대로 향후 다음과 같은 정책방향을 제시하고자 한다. 첫째, 디지털 기술수용성 강화를 위해 디지털 기술 교육 강화가 필요하다. 둘째, 디지털 시민성 제고를 위한 공공 이슈에 대한 의견 표명이나 정책 제안을 위해 사회구성원들이 사회 문제에 대해 생각하고 의견을 교환할 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 것이 바람직하다. 셋째, 사회적 자본의 구축 및 활성화를 위해 공공기관과 민간이 협력하여 사회적 신뢰를 강화하는 프로그램을 운영하고, 이를 통해 공동체 의식을 높이며, 신뢰할 수 있는 정보를 공유하는 문화를 확산시키는 것이 필요하다.

Abstract

The increase in information access through the Internet has increased the amount and diversity of information. But it has also caused problems with the reliability of information. Information literacy, the ability to determine whether information is trustworthy and use it appropriately, is absolutely necessary in this environment. Accordingly, this study examines the impact of digital technology acceptance and digital citizenship on information literacy and the moderating effect of social capital in the relationship between major variables. The analysis results showed that digital technology acceptance and digital citizenship had positive effects on information literacy. It can be seen that social trust and social networks, which are the social capital elements, also have positive effects on information literacy. Based on these, policy directions are suggested as follows: First, it is necessary to strengthen digital technology education to strengthen acceptance of digital technology. Second, it is desirable to provide opportunities for members of society to think about and exchange opinions on social issues in order to express opinions on public issues or propose policies to improve digital citizenship. Third, it is necessary to operate programs to strengthen social trust through cooperation between public institutions and the private sector to build and revitalize social capital. It will increase citizens' sense of community and spread a culture of sharing reliable information.
