Abstract
The purpose of the study was to identify the association of digital literacy, social capital, and digital utilization, and prove the moderating effect of social capital on the relationship between digital literacy and digital utilization among people with disabilities. To achieve this purpose, the secondary data of 1906 people with disabilities over 18 years old from 2022 The Digital Divide Study conducted by National Information Society Agency were analyzed by using the SPSS and Macro Process Programs. The results showed that there were statistically significant and positive relationships among digital literacy, social capital, and digital utilization, which were higher digital literacy indicated higher social capital and digital utilization among people with disabilities. In addition, digital literacy and social capital were significant variables in explaining the variance of digital utilization after controlling demographic variables such as age, disability level, education, and monthly income and digital literacy had more significant effect than social capital in explaining digital utilization. Finally, social capital was a statistically significant moderating variable, so higher social capital had positively impacted on the relationship between digital literacy and digital utilization among people with disabilities. On the basis of these findings, possible practical implications for extending digital literacy programs and promoting social capital to improve digital utilization among people with disabilities were discussed and further studies were suggested.
