초록

The purpose of this essay is to explore the early poetry of Seamus Heaney from the perspective of the mythology and territorial consciousness as it appears in his poetry and prose. Territorial nationalism is the desire to revive spiritually to its own territorial rights. Heaney shows the realistic aspects of Irish identity as people relate to their tradition of territorial worship with their reality. Although common people in Ireland have suffered harshly from British domination, Heaney expresses their lives as proud and independent characters with a positive vision. Moreover, Bogland has an image of colonial experience and archeological quality and revival. Heaney transforms it into a imagery of place symbolizing feminine receptivity. Heaney's pursuit of identity is a little fateful, generally based on the recognition of realistic lives.
