1910s was a turning point to a modern and started the Japan's colonial-era rule in earnest. In 1910s Joseon existed as a subject of the colony of Japanese imperialism between a desire of being as a subject and a point of being called for the colony of Japanese imperialism. The literature contest of 「Maeilsinbo」 is one example which shows a production of the subject of a colony. It calls for readers as a subject of writing and acts as rule of being controled oneself individually and internalized Japan's colonial-era ideology. The literature contest of 「Maeilsinbo」 as the mechanism of producing the subject of a colony makes to reappear and reproduce the discussion of Japanese imperialism by writing. Besides it makes to grope for the possibility of insuring the autonomous space.
