본 연구는 스페인어에 차용된 바스크어 어휘들의 제반적 운율 특징을 분석하고 이들 차용된 어휘들이 스페인어와의 충돌 과정에서 일어나는 운율적 제약 현상을 음절, 강세와 관련된 내용을 중심으로 파악해본다. 바스크어가 스페인어로 차용되는 과정에서 바스크어의 운율적 특징을 유지하려는 경향과 스페인어의 운율적 제약에 따라 바스크어의 어휘가 지닌 운율적 특징들이 상실되는 현상들을 겪게 된다. 바스크어 어휘들이 스페인어로 차용되는 과정에서는 여러 음운론적 현상들이 가운데에는 음절 구조의 변화로 인한 강세 이동 현상이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 스페인어의 음절, 강제 구조 특징을 분석하고 바스크어 어휘들이 스페인어로 차용될 때 발생할 수 있는 운율적 변화 현상들을 분석해본다. 이러한 분석을 통해 스페인어에 차용된 어휘들과 관련된 차용어 음음부가 바스크어 차용어에도 적용 가능한지를 밝혀보고 이미 스페인어에서 귀화어로 사용되고 있는 어휘들의 운율적 구조 변화 현상들을 아직은 외국어의 개념으로 사용되고 있는 외래 바스크 어휘들에도 적용 가능한지를 밝힌다.
Abstract
This study examines the prosodic structure of the Basque vocabularies borrowed into Spanish and analyzes the prosodic characteristics of these vocabularies in the process of borrowing them into Spanish. When one language borrows a vocabulary from another language, it tends to maintain the prosodic characteristics of the source language, and the prosodic characteristics of the source word's vocabulary are lost or undergo changes according to the prosodic constraints of the borrowed language. Among the various phonological changes that occur in the process of Spanish borrowing vocabulary from the Basque language, a change in the syllable structure occurs, resulting in a change in the prosodic structure, such as a shift in stress. To this end, this paper examines the characteristics of the prosodic structure of Spanish, and analyzes the changes in the prosodic structure that may appear according to the process of Basque borrowings. Through this analysis, we will find out whether there is a phonology of borrowed words that can be applied to borrowed words in Spanish.
