Abstract

This paper is to study the background and factors of the Argentine crisis in 2001. Most of the 2001 crisis in Argentina was studied from an economic point of view. In this regard, this research intends to study the crisis of 2001 in Argentina from a political perspective. In this context, Chapter 2 will focus on the reforms of the regimes of Raúl Alfonsín(1983-89) and Carlos Menem(1989-99) as the background of the crisis in 2001. In other words, it examines the political situation after democratization in 1983 and how the Menem government, which emerged from the severe economic crisis in 1989, influenced the crisis in 2001. Chapter 3 investigates the development process and contents of the crisis situation in 2001. Chapter 4 tries to analyze the factors of the 2001 crisis in Argentina from a political point of view. Chapter 5 points out that, as a lesson and task, the 2001 Argentine crisis had problems with domestic politics, but as an agent for globalization, the IMF also has room for problems. Chapter 6 discusses the implications of the Argentine crisis in 2001 as a conclusion part something to do.
