병리적 자기애가 자기은폐에 미치는 영향: 내면화된 수치심과 정서적 지지에 대한 인식의 조절된 매개효과

초록

본 연구의 목적은 병리적 자기애가 자기은폐에 미치는 영향을 내면화된 수치심이 매개하는지, 그리고 이러한 매개효과를 정서적 지지에 대한 인식이 조절하는지를 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위해 전국에 거주하는 20세 이상의 성인을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였고, 이 중 불성실하게 응답한 것으로 보인 4부의 설문지를 제외한 총 517명의 자료를 SPSS 22와 Mplus 7을 사용하여 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 병리적 자기애, 내면화된 수치심, 자기은폐 간에는 유의한 정적 상관이 있었으며, 정서적 지지에 대한 인식은 병리적 자기애, 내면화된 수치심, 자기은폐와 유의한 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 내면화된 수치심은 병리적 자기애가 자기은폐에 미치는 영향을 유의하게 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 정서적 지지에 대한 인식은 내면화된 수치심이 자기은폐에 미치는 영향을 유의하게 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 후속연구에 대한 제언과 시사점을 논의하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine whether internalized shame mediates the effect of pathological narcissism on self-concealment, and whether perceived emotional support regulates this mediating effect. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted among adults over 20 years old living in the country. The data of 517 participants were analyzed using SPSS 22 and Mplus 7, excluding 4 poorly answered questionnaires. The main results are as follows: First, there were significant positive correlations between pathological narcissism, internalized shame and self-concealment, and perceived emotional support showed significant negative correlations with pathological narcissism, internalized shame and self-concealment. Second, internalized shame was found to mediate the influence of pathological narcissism on self-concealment significantly. Third, perceived emotional support was shown to regulate the influence of internalized shame on self-concealment significantly. Findings and implications of this study are discussed.
