창의적 체험활동에서 편성ㆍ운영되는 다양한 교육 활동의 실태 및 개선 방향 탐색

본 연구에서는 교육과정 총론에서 창의적 체험활동에 편성‧운영하도록 규정한 범교과 학습 주제, 자유학기, 학교스포츠클럽 활동이 창의적 체험활동에 미치는 영향력을 종합적으로 분석하고, 그에 따른 창의적 체험활동에서의 범교과 학습 주제, 자유학기, 학교스포츠클럽 활동 편성ㆍ운영의 개선 방향을 탐색한다. 이를 위하여 초ㆍ중학교 교사 및 장학사를 대상으로 설문 조사와 전문가 협의회를 실시하였고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 창의적 체험활동에서의 범교과 학습 주제, 자유학기, 학교스포츠클럽 활동 편성·운영 실태와 창의적 체험활동의 현 시수에 대한 실태와 인식을 분석하였다. 조사 결과, 창의적 체험활동에서 범교과 학습 주제로 편성‧운영하는 시간이 매우 큰 비중을 차지하고 있는 것으로 나타났고, 자유학기 활동과 창의적 체험활동 간에 유사성이 높다는 응답 결과가 도출되었으며, 학교스포츠클럽 활동의 연간 운영 시수를 줄일 필요가 있다는 의견이 제기되었다. 연구 결과를 종합하여 본 연구에서는 창의적 체험활동에서 범교과 학습 주제의 본래 취지를 고려한 편성·운영 방안, 자유학기에 창의적 체험활동 운영 대체 방안, 학교스포츠클럽 활동의 축소와 지원 확대 및 중등 교직 과정에서의 창의적 체험활동 과목 개설을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of cross-curricular themes, Exam-Free semester, and School Sports Club on Creative Experiential Activities and suggest the direction for improvement of the organization and implementation of those educational activities in Creative Experiential Activities. It conducted a survey and consultations with teachers and supervisors of elementary and middle schools, and on the basis of the results, examined the current situation and perception of the organization and implementation of cross-curricular themes, Exam-Free semester, and School Sports Club. The result showed that first, the instructional hour of cross-curricular themes was a very big portion of Creative Experiential Activities; second, there were the similarities between activities of Exam-Free semester and Creative Experiential Activities; and third, the number of instructional hours of School Sports Club should be reduced. The study suggested improvement plans for cross-curricular organization and implementation, organization plans for replacement of Creative Experiential Activities during Exam-Free semester, reduction and support plans of School Sports Club, and creating a course on Creative Experiential Activities in the Teacher Training Course for Secondary School Teacher.
