Abstract
Grice，a famous American linguist，puts forward cooperative principles of conversation and its four maxims and analyzes and interprets conversational implicature in detail. His theory is a breakthrouth to traditional pragmatics and has a far-reaching impact on language teaching. The introduction of the theory of conversational implicature to listening comprehension teaching helps to improve listening comprehension.
