예비교사가 인식하는 AI 시대의 교사역할과 역량에 대한 기대수준

이 연구는 ChatGPT 등의 거대언어모델(LLM)이 등장하여 지식생산과 학습생태계 전반에 큰 변화가 나타나는 시대에 교사에게 요구되는 역량을 탐색적으로 제시하는 데 목적을 둔다. 연구를 위해 4년제 종합대학에서 교직을 이수하는 예비교사를 대상으로 심층면접을 진행하였다. 이를 통해 도출한 결과를 예비교사가 인식하는 교사의 역량에 대한 기대수준과 구성요소를 중심으로 정리하여 AI 시대 새로운 디지털신기술 도입과 사회구조 변화를 반영한 교원양성 및 전문성 강화에 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 예비교사들은 AI 시대에도 여전히 교사의 '본질적인 역할'이 요구될 것이라고 하였으며, 이는 학생지도와 상담, 학습코칭의 모습으로 묘사되고 있었다. 그리고 이러한 역할을 수행하기 위해 AI 시대 교사를 양성하는 교육과정의 내용에는 AI 기술 활용 능력 뿐 아니라 디지털윤리를 포함한 소양이 포함되어야 할 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to exploratively present the competencies required of teachers in an era in which large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT appear and change the overall knowledge production and learning ecosystem. For this study, in-depth interviews were conducted with pre-service teachers taking teaching profession courses at four-year universities. The results derived from this were organized around the expected level and components of teacher competence recognized by pre-service teachers to provide implications for teacher training and professionalism that reflect the introduction of new digital technology in the AI era and changes in social structure. As a result of the study, preservice teachers said that the 'essential role' of teachers would still be required in the AI era, which was described as student guidance, counseling, and learning coaching. And in order to fulfill this role, it was found that the contents of the curriculum to nurture teachers in the AI era should include not only the ability to use AI technology but also the knowledge including digital ethics.
