결혼이민여성을 위한 공식적 지지가 정신건강과 문화적응에 가지는 효과

본 연구는 공식적 지지가 결혼이민여성들의 정신건강과 문화적응에 미치는 효과를 분석하고자 하는데 목적이 있으며 이를 위해 경북에 거주하고 있는 결혼이민여성 624명을 대상으로 연구하였다. 첫째, 공식적지지 경험 유무에 따른 정신건강정도의 차이를 살펴본 결과, 상담서비스를 받은 결혼이민여성들이 그렇지 않은 여성들에 비해 상대적으로 우울정도가 낮았고, 상담서비스와 우리말 서비스를 경험한 결혼이민여성들이 그렇지 않은 여성에 비해 다소 불안정도도 낮았으며, 취미여가서비스, 경제적서비스, 각종캠프에 참여한 경험이 있는 결혼이민여성들의 사회적 부적응정도도 그렇지 않은 여성들에 비해 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 문화적응에 있어서는 우리말서비스, 결연서비스, 취미여가서비스를 경험한 결혼이민여성들이 그렇지 않은 여성들에 비해 상대적으로 문화적응정도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 상기결과를 중심으로 결혼이민여성의 정신건강과 문화적응을 돕기 위한 공식적지지서비스 확충 방안을 제언하였다.
Abstract
The present study aimed to analyze the effects of public support on the mental health of immigrant women married to Korean man and their adaptation to Korean culture. The study subjects were 624 women who were immigrated to Korea, married and have stayed in Gyungbook province. The results were as follows. Firstly, Most of married immigrant women were from Vietnam. Half of them earned less than 1,000,000 won per month, and they had kids more than one. Secondly, most of the public support that they had previously experienced were Korean language teaching service and visiting home service. Thirdly, when they received more consulting service, they showed less degree of depressive mood. When they got more Korean language teaching service and visiting home service, less degree of emotional instability was shown. Moreover, more chances to be involved socially they had, less degree of adaptation problem to Korean society was found. Fourthly, when they were involved more in the Korean language teaching service, social network program, and leisure activities, they showed high degree of acculturation. The results indicate that public support could decrease their anxiety, depression, and maladaptation to Korean culture in married immigrant women. Therefore, more diverse public supports for them should be invented and developed.
