· Research topics: : This study investigates how various forms of technological mobility emerging between the late 19th and early 20th centuries contribute to structuring the temporal dimensions of Marcel Proust’s In Search of Lost Time and how these dynamics reveal distinctive features of Proust’s writing style. · Research background: By examining the interrelation between sensory experience and mobility, the study broadens the thematic and methodological horizon of Proustian scholarship. · Differences from prior research: This research proposes an extensive typology of mobility forms appearing in the novel and analyzes them alongside Proust’s narrative techniques for expressing the narrator’s sensory perception. · Research method: The concept of mobility is first defined theoretically, after which the novel’s technological devices of movement are categorized into corporeal mobility and mediated mobility.
