The function of the Russian Adverbial Participle Construction(RAPC) is to show the unequal relationship between the two actions. The concrete character of the relationship may be vague. The functional types of the RAPC are S, [S]ADV, [VP]ADV, and ADV. These types show the embryological hierarchy in that order and this order reflects the gradual weakening of the predicativity and temporality of the RAPC. In view of the fact that each of all the existing approaches explains each different aspect of the RAPC, I insist that the proposed multi-system hypothesis(MSH) is the only solution to reveal the mystery of the temporal and/or semantic ambiguity of the RAPC. The MSH is composed of four potential systems such as tense-based, taxis-based, aspect-based, and semantics-based system. These four systems within the MSH form an organic network among themselves. Various factors such as context-situation, time period, geographic area, generation, personal disposition, language register, or genre may influence the actualization of the networking.
