자본주의의 현재 발전단계가 국가독점자본주의라고 계속 주장하는 김성구 교수가 국가독점자본주의적 시각에서 현재의 장기불황을 설명하는 책을 편저의 형식으로 출간했다. 외국인의 논문 9편과 김 교수의 논문 4편이 실려 있는데, 현재의 장기불황을 이해하는 데 큰 도움을 주고 있다. 그러나 경쟁자본주의에서 독점자본주의로 성장전화한 자본주의가 다시 국가독점자본주의로 성장전화했다고 주장하는 김교수가 왜 케인스주의로부터 신자유주의로 성장전화한 것은 새로운 단계로 설정하지 않고 국가독점자본주의 단계 안의 ‘형태변화’로 치부하고 있는지가 분명하지 않다. 그리고 『자본론』은 자본주의의 ‘일반’이론을 제공한다고 말하면서 독점자본주의론과 국가독점자본주의론 등 ‘특수’이론의 필요성을 강조하는 것은 ‘일반’과 ‘특수’의 관계를 잘못 이해하는 것일 뿐 아니라, 『자본론』이 현재의 상황을 설명하지못한다고 폐기처분하려는 ‘음모’가 아닌지 의심스럽다.
Abstract
As the editor of Modern Capitalism and Secular Depression: from the viewpoint of State Monopoly Capitalism (2011, Greenbee), Kim Seong-Gu contributed a lot to the understanding of the difference between periodic crash and structural crisis. As he subsumes neo-liberalism in State Monopoly Capitalism as its variant, he clarified the fact that even the neo-liberal State has to intervene in the economic processes for the benefit of monopoly capital. But his argument that in order to understand the present capitalism we need the general theory of capitalism, the theory of monopoly capitalism and the theory of state monopoly capitalism seems to wrongly separate the ‘general’theory from the development-stage ‘specific’ theories. And his inclusion of neo-liberalism into state monopoly capitalism seems to be an inevitable result of his understanding of state monopoly capitalism being the final stage before a new socialist society.
