조정환의 『인지자본주의』는 현대자본주의에서 노동가치론(혹은 가치법칙)이 위기에 직면해 있다고 주장하는데, 이는 노동가치론에 대한 잘못된 해석에 근거한다. 이에 따르면, 노동은 구상과 실행이 분리된 역사적으로 특수한 분업 형태에서 물질적 상품을 생산하는 경우에만 가치를 생산하는데, 이것은 노동가치론의 적용범위를지나치게 협소화할뿐더러 노동가치론에 대한 일반적인 해석과도 거리가 있다. 또한 『인지자본주의』가 제시하는 인지자본주의론은 가치법칙을 일종의 정치법칙으로재해석하고자 시도하지만 이는 여러 측면에서 불충분하다.
Abstract
Joe Jeong Hwan’s Cognitive Capitalism argues that Marx’s labour theory of value (or the law of value) faces a significant crisis in contemporary capitalism or what is called cognitive capitalism, which is based on its peculiar interpretation of labour theory of value. According to this interpretation, labour creates value only under a historically specific form of the division of labour,characterised by the division between conception and execution, and in addition to that, only if it creates material products. This is at odds with the dominant interpretations of Marx’s value theory, especially limiting the domain of value theory significanlty. Further, the theory of cognitive capitalism put forward in this book, while attempting to reinterpret the law of value as a political theory rather than an economic theory, is not sufficient enough in many respects.
