박만섭의 『포스트케인지언 내생화폐이론』(아카넷, 2020)은 국내에 최초로 포스트케인지언 내생화폐이론의 논의를 체계적으로 소개하고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 포스트케인지언 내부에서의 화폐내생성을 둘러싼 논쟁, 이 화폐내생성과 주류 화폐내생성주장과의 차이를 명확하게 밝히면서 저자의 견해를 주장하고 있다. 이 책은 이를 통해 국내에 포스트케인지언 연구의 기반을 제공했을 뿐만 아니라, 포스트케인지언내생화폐이론의 새로운 연구 방향을 제시했다. 그러나 이 책은 포스트케인지언 내생화폐이론의 논의를 논리적 명제, 수리적 모형을 통해 화폐내생성 주장들 사이의 차이를 분명하게 하고 포스트케인지언과 주류경제학의 화폐의 본질성에 대한 차이를 명확하게 밝히는 데 논의의 범위를 한정하고 있다. 따라서 포스트케인지언 화폐내생성 주장이 화폐적 분석 또는 화폐적 생산이론의 발전에 어떤 기여를 했으며 또 어떤 문제를 가지고 있는지에 대해 더 논의해야 할 여지와 과제를 남겨두고 있다.
Abstract
Park, Man-Seop’s Post-Keynesian Theory of Endogenous Money (2020) is the first book in Korea to systematically introduce the discussion of Post Keynesian endogenous money theory. This book asserts the author’s views while clearly illuminating the difference between accommodationist and structuralist in Post-Keynesian, and between Post-Keynesian and mainstream theories. This book has not only provided the momentum for Post-Keynesian research in Korea, but also suggested a new research direction in Post Keynesian theory of endogenous money. However, this book limits the research scope to the origin of Post-Keynesian theory of endogenous money and the discussion of difference between accom- modationist and structuralist in the theory. Therefore, this book leaves room for further discussions and tasks about how the post-Keynesian theory of endogenous money has contributed to the development of monetary theory of production and what problems it has.
