내생화폐이론과 정부 지출의 선행성: 현대화폐이론과 포스트 케인지언

이 글은 국가 재정의 화폐이론에 있어 현대화폐이론과 포스트 케인지언들의 논쟁을 검토하고 있다. 포스트 케인지언들이 제기한 현대화폐이론 비판은 현실의 제도적 차이를 분명하게 인식하게 함으로써 현대화폐이론이 가지는 한계점들을 보여주고 있지만, 동시에 정부 지출의 선행성이라는 현대화폐이론을 포함한 포스트 케인지언 전체의 핵심 논리를 일정 부분 후퇴시켜 주류 이론과의 차별성을 약화시키고 있다.
Abstract
This paper examines the controversy between MMT and Post Keynesian on public finance theory. The critique on MMT by Post Keynesian reveals the weak point of MMT by emphasizing the difference between theory and real institution. However, it also might undermine the foundation of Post Keynesian logic, ‘the state spends first’.
