초록
Within the context of CDMA, in comparison to standard single sequence signaling, i.e. L=1, (L is the number of sequences per symbol) like M-PSK or M-QAM, a multi-sequence based trellis-coded-modulation (TCM) (L≥2) called orthogonal plane sequence modulation (OPSM) exhibits either better cross-correlation properties or better distance profiles, especially at high rate Rb≥2 bits/s/Hz. Compared to conventional two-dimensional signaling, OPSM is inherently suitable for high rate applications for 3G. In correlated Rayleigh fading channels, despite the time diversity reduction in TCM, the simulation results show that trellis-coded CDMA (TC-CDMA) system based on OPSM outperforms standard convolutionally-coded CDMA systems. Compared to TC-CDMA with parallel transition, TCCDMA without parallel transition is superior due to its increased time diversity.
