통신 기술이 전화나 PC 등 정보기기에서 가전기기 및 센서 등으로 확산되면서 홈 네트워크는 지속적으로 지능화되고 있다. 지능형 홈 네트워크는 PLC, WiFi, WiGig 등 유무선의 다양한 기술에 기반하여 구성되고 있으며 홈 게이트웨이는 홈 네트워크와 가입자 망과 연동하여 인터넷에 접속하는 기능을 제공한다. 홈 네트워크에 접속하는 다양한 기기들 간의 상호 연동을 위해 사용되는 미들웨어는 All IP 컨버전스 추세에 부합하는 UPnP 기술이 주도권을 잡고 있다. 미래의 주택은 지능형 홈 네트워크가 기반이 되고 있으며 만물이 통신하는 만물 통신의 기반 위에 삶과 통신이 융합되는 홈 네트워크 서비스가 제공될 것으로 예상된다.
Abstract
As the realm of the communication technology is extended to home appliances and sensors as well as information devices such as telephones or PCs, home networks are beginning to be more intelligent. Built on various wired and wireless technologies like PLC, WiFi and WiGig, the intelligent home network relies on home gateway to connect the internet through the access network. With the major trend of all IP convergence, UPnP technology is taking the lead of the middleware that is responsible for the interoperability among diverse home networking devices. In the future home, we expect that the intelligent home network should be the basis of the ubiquitous home network services, opening the door to the vision of 'internet of things'.
