다양한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 댁 내에서 다양한 디지털 기기들(PC, TV, PDA, 모바일폰 등)간 공유/연동하기 위해DLNA와 IGRS 등과 같은 표준화 단체에서 표준화를 추진해 왔다. 또한 방송ㆍ통신 융합 환경에서 사용자의 편의성증진, 기기들간의 자원 공유/연동 기능 제공, 다양한 방송ㆍ웹 응용 서비스 제공 등을 목적으로 적극적으로 표준화를추진하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 홈 네트워크 상에서 다양한 디지털 기기들 간에 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 공유/연동 하는데 있어 DLNA와 IGRS 프레임워크에서 응용 프로그램을 비디오, 오디오, 그리고 이미지 파일과 같이 공유/연동할 수있도록 하는 방법을 제안하고 사용자의 편의성을 증진시키고 서로 다른 디지털 기기에 동시 적용 가능하며 다양한 시청 환경에 최적화된 사용자 인터페이스를 제공할 수 있는 기술을 제안한다.
Abstract
The home network standard bodies(DLNA,IGRS,etc) have standardized technologies in order to share and interoperate digital multimedia contents among digital equipments at home. And they are aiming to extend functionality for user convenience, to provide function of sharing devices' resources among them, and to provide various broadcasting and web applications in broadcasting and telecommunication convergence environment. In this paper, we suggest a new XML language profile(named as Scalable Core Markup Language:SCML) which assists authors in creating applications that can support device independence with differing device capabilities and states of viewing environment, and methods to share and interoperate an application which is described as SCML like video, audio, and image files in DLNA or IGRS framework. In addition, for providing functionality of user convenience, we extend DLNA or IGRS middleware for a new interface to adopt MPEG query format.
