근년에 들어 성장정체의 모습을 보이고 있는 통신사업에 있어 지속성장은 가장 중요한 과제가 되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 통신사업을 하나의 분석단위로 하여 국내 통신사업 전체의 입장에서 지속성장 전략을 모색하였다. 전략도출을 위한 방법론으로서는 지속성장성 지표의 개발 및 분석, NEBIC 이론과 시나리오 플래닝의 결합 등을 시도하였고, 미래전략은 제시한 프레임워크에 따라 미래 기술의 선택, 새로운 성장기회의 인지, 그리고 지속성장을 위한 경영혁신으로 나누어 도출하였다. 도출된 미래전략은 향후 개별사업자의 성장전략을 도출하는데, 중요한 가이드라인으로 활용될 수 있다.
Abstract
Recent depression of world-wide telecommunication businesses has attracted increased interests in developing future strategies for sustaining growth. Coming up with this trend, this paper devised a systematic framework for developing growth strategies by combining scenario planning with the NEBIC theory and suggested the future growth strategies of telecommunication business. Three core aspects of strategy were investigated, which are the selection of enabling technologies, the identification of economic opportunities, and finally the execution of business innovation for growth. The suggested future strategies are expected to serve as a basis for developing future growth strategies specified for individual telecommunication companies.
