Abstract
Worldwide proliferation of IPTV services attracts increasing concerns on IPTV quality of service (QoS). In this paper we survey standardization and research activities on IPTV QoS and quality of experience, and explain some IPTV QoS provisioning techniques which are relatively easily implementable and are expected to be highly effective. Then, we explain emerging IPTV network engineering technologies which enable economical implementation of future IPTV networks.
