CAS를 위한 동적 다운로드 구조

Abstract

This paper presents a new CAS architecture that dynamically downloads CAS S/W into device for secure IPTV service. The previous CAS systems are apt to be exposed to hackers because they preinstall and station CAS S/W in a device independent of contents. To cope with this problem, the proposed system dynamically downloads CAS S/W into the device on contents playing time and deletes it after the contents are played. It is not easy to hack the CAS S/W in the proposed system, since CAS S/W exists in the device only during the contents usage time. In addition, the proposed system can support an efficient and secure CAS S/W management by applying the diverse CAS S/W versions and their usage policy according to devices, contents or usage period. The proposed system minimizes the effect of the hacking for other devices or other devices, even if it succeeds in hacking a specific CAS S/W in a specific device.
