미래전에서의 전장 양상은 네트워크 중심전 형태로 발전되어가고 있다. 네트워크 중심전에서 가장 중요한 전력은전장에서의 다른 전력 요소들을 유기적으로 연결해주는 통신전력이며 작전 템포에 따라 기동하면서도 원하는 정보를소통시킬 수 있는 전술통신체계는 통신전력의 핵심이라고 할 수 있다. 현재 우리 군은 미래 NCW 환경에서 요구되는 전장정보 소통능력을 지원하기 위해 전술정보통신체계(TICN:Tactical Information Communications Network)를 개발할 계획에 있다. 본 논문에서는 한국군의 전술통신체계에대한 발전내역 및 방향을 제시하고 향후 한국군 NCW에서 지상 통신전력의 핵심역할을 수행하게 될 TICN 체계에 대한 개략적인 요구 기능 및 능력에 대해 소개하고자 한다.
Abstract
The changes of the future battlefield paradigm can be outlined as NCW(Network Centric Warfare). The most important combat power in NCW is the communication power because it can interconnect all the other combat platforms which are scattered over the theater. Especially tactical communications system, which can provide the communication capability while moving according to operational tempo, is the core of the communication power. Currently, our military is planning to develop TICN(Tactical Information Communications Network) in order to support the traffic capability required in the future NCW. In this paper we describe the role of the communication power in the future battlefield paradigm, the history and the future trends of our tactical communication systems and briefly present the requirements and capabilities of TICN which is expected to act as the terrestrial infrastructure of our military's NCW.
