네트워크중심전(NCW)은 제 전력 요소들을 강력한 네트워크로 연결하면 전장상황인식의 공유와 전력의 통합화가 가능해지고 이에 따라 작전의 수행 효과를 획기적으로 높일 수 있다는 이론으로, 현재 미래전을 대비한 우리 군의 군사력 발전 방향으로 인식되고 있다. 네트워크중심전의 구현은 단순히 기술 영역으로만 제한되지 않지만, 유기적인 네트워킹을 가능하게 하는 기술적 기반 환경의 구축은 필수적인 요소이다. 하지만, 이와 같은 기술적 기반 환경의 구축은 정보보호 측면에서 위협의 변화와 새로운 취약성을 발생시킬 수 있어, 변화에 따른 국방정보통신 환경의 안전성, 보안성을 유지하기 위한 체계적인 대비가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 네트워크중심전 이론의 구현이 정보보호 측면에서 미치는 영향과 이에 따른 정보보호 발전 요구사항들을 살펴보고, 우리 국방 환경에서 변화, 발전하여야 할 정보보호 추진 요소 및 방안들을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The Network-centric Warfare(NCW) is a new military theory of war in the information ages and is recognized as a MND force transformation directions to prepare for the future combat environments. In the NCW implementation, technology is a core element to construct the realistic networking capabilities for the NCW and will change many aspects of defense IT environments. But, these changes may cause many information security problems, and thus proper countermeasures are needed. In this paper, we examined impacts of the NCW implementation and information security requirements from the point of view of the information security. Additionally, we proposed MND's information security tasks required to successfully support MND's NCW implementation.
