중학생의 학교상담요청 결정 과정의 촉진요인 및 방해요인

본 연구는 개념도 연구 방법을 사용하여 중학생이 학교 상담실에서 제공하는 상담 서비스 요청을 결정하는 과정에서 촉진 및 방해요인을 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 상담요청 경험이 있는 학생 11명과 상담요청 경험이 없는 학생 9명을 대상으로 촉진요인과 방해요인의 아이디어를 수집하였으며, 수집된 아이디어를 통합하여 최종적으로 촉진요인 49개, 방해요인 53개의 진술문을 도출하였다. 연구참여자들은 이 진술문들에 대해 유사성 평정과 중요도 평정을 시행하였으며, 연구참여자들이 평정한 유사성 평정 자료를 다차원 척도법(ALSCAL법)과 군집분석(Ward)을 시행하여 중학생의 학교상담 요청 촉진요인 및 방해요인의 개념도를 도출하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 학교상담 요청 촉진요인은 2개 차원과(상담 고유의 가치에 대한 인식-상담의 부차적 가치에 대한 인식, 자생적 동기-조건적 동기) 5개의 군집(상담선생님에 대한 긍정적 이미지, 상담의 구체적 필요성 자각, 상담에 대한 막연한 긍정적 기대, 상담에 대한 인식의 정상화(normalization), 상담에 대한 주변의 추천 및 홍보)으로 개념도가 구성되었다. 둘째, 학교상담 요청의 방해요인을 분석한 결과, 2개의 차원(적극적 방해요인-소극적 방해요인, 상담 관련 방해요인-상담 외적 방해요인), 6개의 군집(상담선생님에 대한 부정적 이미지, 상담 외 다른 도움체계 가용성, 시간적 제약 및 필요성 미인식, 또래에 의한 문제 해결, 상담받는 것에 대한 부정적 시선 염려, 상담의 익명성 및 비밀 보장에 대한 염려)이 확인되었다. 셋째, 진술문들에 대한 중요도 평정 결과, 촉진요인 중에서 ‘상담에 대한 막연한 긍정적 기대’가, 방해요인 중에서는 ‘상담선생님에 대한 부정적 이미지’가 가장 중요한 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구의 결과에서 확인된 학생의 상담요청 촉진 및 방해요인은 중학생들이 학교 내에서 필요시 상담을 요청할 수 있도록 돕기 위한 구체적인 계획 수립에 필요한 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
This study aims to identify the conceptual structure of elements motivating and discouraging in process of Middle school student’s counseling demand. 9 students who experienced the counseling and 11 students who did not experience is interviewed, collected ideas. By being synthesized and edited, the final statements were reduced to 49 and 53. Participants rated similarity and importance. Multidimensional scaling and hierarchical cluster analysis were conducted to extract dimensions in the previously classified and rated statements. Results showed that promoted students’ concept map was consisted of two dimensions(perceive of counsel’s intrinsic worth-secondary worth, grow naturally motive-condition motive). Also, who experienced the counseling group showed five clusters(positive concept about counsel teacher, realize about detailed necessity, positive vague concept about counsel, concept about counsel’s normalization, recommendation and promote from surroundings). Discouraged students’ concept map was consisted of two dimensions(active disturbance factor-inactive disturbance factor, related factor from counsel-external factor from counsel). Also, who did not experience the counseling group showed six clusters(negative concept about counsel teacher, other helping methods of availability, limited time and no perceive about worry, problem solve form friends, worried about counsel’s negative attention, worried about anonymity and keeping secret). Rating similarity and importance, ‘positive vague concept about counsel’ and ‘negative concept about counsel teacher’ was important from each group. The result gives information those points out elements that discouraged students to avoid seeking for the counseling and encourage them to visit the office.
